A Solar Pedestrian Warning System is a safety solution designed to make pedestrian crossings highly visible both day and night. It uses backlit and edge-lit LED signs combined with solar-powered road markers to alert drivers when pedestrians are crossing, significantly reducing the risk of accidents in high-traffic areas.
The system remains in standby mode when no pedestrians are crossing, with the sign face intermittently illuminated to increase driver awareness. When a pedestrian presses the activation button, the system triggers synchronized animations on the signs and road markers, creating a clear and highly visible warning for approaching vehicles.
The Solar Pedestrian Warning System is manufactured to Australian Standard AS1906.1 with a class 1 reflective sign face and powder-coated aluminum finish. It is powered by an 80W solar panel and a 48Ah 12V lithium-ion battery, providing more than 96 hours of continuous operation and up to five nights of autonomy. The system is IP67 waterproof, IK10 impact resistant, and includes a lockable enclosure for security.
This system is ideal for distribution centers, car parks, truck and bus depots, and any location where pedestrian safety is a concern. Its wireless, solar-powered design makes it easy to install in areas without access to mains power.

We live in a gated lifestyle resort of 375 residents, we have narrow roadways and no foot paths so it’s a shared pedestrian/vehicle environment.
