No, the Solar High Water Warning System is an entirely off grid solar system requiring no connection to the grid. There are also no wired connections between the system on either side of the water course, each system is connected wirelessly with an operational distance of > 300Mtrs.
The word for this is “Autonomy”. We build the Solar High Water Warning System after confirming operational load the system will be under. We calculate how many times the system would be interacted with in 24 hours on the shortest day of the year to use as a base line. From there we use shadow mapping to evaluate the recharge capacity on this day to ensure we deliver a Solar High Water Warning System that carries a minimum of 72 hours autonomy with no solar recharge.
