Omya required an effective way to reinforce speed limits across one of their mine sites. With high traffic movements and strict safety requirements, they needed a solar speed sign visual reminder that would encourage drivers stay under the speed limit.
After reviewing the site requirements, our team identified that a portable and highly visible solution would provide the flexibility Omya needed. The Australian-Made Solar Radar Speed Sign system had to be durable, relocatable, and solar-powered to operate independently in a remote mining environment.
We supplied and installed our off-grid Solar Radar Speed Sign, mounted to a Relocatable Water-Filled Footing. This setup ensures stability, easy repositioning, and strong reinforcement to improve driver awareness and compliance with speed limits.

We live in a gated lifestyle resort of 375 residents, we have narrow roadways and no foot paths so it’s a shared pedestrian/vehicle environment. The speed limit within the resort is 10kph, which despite numerous conventional signs was regularly exceeded by visitors and residents alike.
