Bentley Hospital identified a need to improve traffic safety across their busy driveways, where a mix of staff, patients, and visitors were frequently crossing paths with vehicles. They needed an effective way to slow traffic without major infrastructure works.
After aerial assessments using industry online technology, SLD concluded the hospital’s requirements, we recommended SLD’s off-grid Solar Radar Speed Sign as a solution that would deliver instant driver feedback and could be relocated if future site changes required it.
We supplied and installed an Australian-Made Solar Radar Speed Sign mounted on a relocatable concrete footing. The system now provides clear speed awareness for drivers and contributes to a safer environment across the hospital grounds.

We live in a gated lifestyle resort of 375 residents, we have narrow roadways and no foot paths so it’s a shared pedestrian/vehicle environment. The speed limit within the resort is 10kph, which despite numerous conventional signs was regularly exceeded by visitors and residents alike.
